Join Esther Green, RN, BScN, MSc(T), HSO People-Centred Care Faculty, and Feria Bacchus, MHSc, HSO Managing Director of Quality Improvement Support, as they provide a beginner-level overview of PCC. 

You will learn: 

  • The basics of People-Centred Care 
  • What problem PCC solves, and why it is needed 
  • How PCC is weaved throughout HSO standards (including criteria examples) 
  • Examples of PCC in action that you can bring to your organization 

This educational webinar will be recorded. The recording will be provided to participants after the live stream. There will be time for Q&A.

Esther Green

Esther Green, RN, BScN, MSc(T), HSO Faculty 

Esther is an accomplished, seasoned nursing leader.  Her experience includes acute care, community, education, research and cancer care.  Over the past 25 years, her focus has been in oncology leadership roles at the Princess Margaret Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, Cancer Care Ontario and most recently, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. 

Esther is a strong supporter and advocate of People-Centred Care, oncology nursing, psychosocial oncology, patient safety, advanced practice nursing, and evidence-based guidelines.  She has published chapters in nursing texts, and papers in peer-reviewed journals.  Esther has received awards from the Ontario Hospital Association (Award of Excellence in Nursing Leadership), the Canadian Oncology Nurses Association (Lifetime Achievement) and the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (Lifetime Achievement). 

 

Feria Bacchus

Feria Bacchus, MHSc, HSO Managing Director of Quality Improvement Support 

Feria is a strategic healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience working across the care continuum in Canada and abroad. In her role as Managing Director of Quality Improvement Support, she leads a team of experts that provide organizations with the knowledge, tools and skills they need to accelerate their quality improvement journey. 

Feria previously held executive positions at National Research Corporation Canada, Sodexo Canada, ARAMARK USA, Markham Stouffville Hospital and Alberta Regional Health Authority. She holds a Master of Health Science (MHSc) from the University of Toronto, Bachelor (BASc) from the University of Guelph and has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
